A nation nation back with Dan foot out of Anchorage, Alaska. Dan, let’s talk daylight. As you and I are recording this The days are getting shorter. What what is the day light? Like? Does it come up about 10-10:30 odds?

Dan Foote

Actually, we’ll see what 854 It’s dawn is approaching. I think sunrise is somewhere around 939 40 or something like that right now. The the legitimate sunrise, but I’m seeing some light on the other side of the windows here. Yep, the days are getting longer, but you know, we are down to under a month longer. Well, you’re right. Yeah, the nights are getting longer. We’re down to under a month left and then we start eking back the other way. And I like that’s, that’s my barometer. That’s how I, you know, if I can get to the solstice, in December, then I’m doing great. You know, because then there’s only a not another six weeks, eight weeks of real winter left. So yeah.

Harry Brelsford

Yeah. Well, let’s talk 2022 You’re always thinking a step or two ahead. What’s what’s on the table for your MSP practice in 2022?

Dan Foote

That is a really good question, Harry. And you this this last two years has, I don’t know maybe bent my mindset. A little bit worse. still working to grow our business. But whereas we were cautious before, we’re made even more cautious. Now I just it’s really a strange phenomena that I’m dealing with personally. But we did just pitch for a 501 C three, a pretty well known one up here in Anchorage that is looking for support. They sent out an RFP here recently. And so we finally got our response in on Sunday. Well, we’ll see what happens there. It’s not a price response, it gives them an idea of how they can calculate it out, but we don’t really know what they’re looking for entirely yet. Yeah. I, it’s always amusing to me to see some of the requests that come in, and the lack of information that they provide about what they need. Yeah, so. So this time, we were very 15,000 foot level, in our response, you know, here’s what you can look at for desktop, or other services. And then, you know, here’s who we are, really, it was more of a pitch for Dantec services and who we are, what we are, what our team’s about, what we’re about. And then we’re consistent with that. And then we are we’re good at that, you know, we protect our, our data, we protect our users, we protect their networks, whole nine yards. And I get to see that on a daily basis, got a great team working behind me.

Harry Brelsford

Yeah, yeah, you do. And then finally, assuming events are back in full force and 2020 to one or two that that you have in mind.

Dan Foote

Ah, good, good thought there. We will be down at Inspire, in Clearwater, Florida, the end of January. So looking forward to that we’ve got a good friend down in Clearwater area. So you know, it’s, it’s kind of like a event with benefits. So that’s it, that’ll be fun. Marisa is going down with me. She’s our senior vice president of Dantec services and my number one consultant. She’s going down with me, and we’re looking forward to seeing what inspire has to offer. Are you going to be inspired Harry?

Harry Brelsford

I will not. I will not be there at that time. But have fun for me. I know. It’s a great leadership conference.

Dan Foote

It’s I really did enjoy their conference in when was it? July is so long ago. Yeah. You know that in Nashville? That was really a lot of fun. So I’m looking forward to it.

Harry Brelsford

Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. And hopefully, you know, the the well known shows come back down. Oh, con and Lori in Chicago. Maybe she’ll be able to do her show again. It’d be. It’d be fun to see the old gang again. It’s been a while. But yes, yes.

Dan Foote

Lori’s show in Chicago. I’ve been to it once and that was now what? Better than you know what, two and a half years ago now. For such a small show. It’s one of the best I’ve been to it was just really good. Excellent people. Die Young Lady really has something going for. Yeah, very proud.

Harry Brelsford

Yeah, she’s a go getter. Alright, my friend will stay warm. We’ll check in next time.

Dan Foote

You take care as well, Harry, it’s good to talk to you. Thank you
